Alphabets. Talking about alphabets and words, I find it really interesting how people can 'invent' alphabets, put them together to form words that we can pronounce and understand. This question had been in my mind for quite a while. Doing this project made me understand how difficult it is to create symbols and alphabets...
So here are some work of how I'll make my mark.
The drawing is from Summer. But I did the stain, it was from the can of Monster Energy that I was drinking from. I don't even know what the mark is. The stain has too much droplets around it, so it'll be too complicated to be a mark.
A witch's hand. To me, swearing is really important. I swear all the time and I put my middle finger up so often I usually hurt it (in this week I've already burnt and cut my middle finger. :) ) Swearing is not even offensive in my world, they are just words to express how angry I am, how annoying things are, how happy I am, how tasty sushi is etc. So here, this mark will represent a statement. This is my favorite work of the day. :D
Random thing that I made, it's supposed to look like an V.
Another random thing that I made, it's supposed to be an 'a'. This was my first work, I didn't really like it.
Creating my own font!!! I always loved doing that. I didn't know what to call it so Summer said... 'Groggle'. So my font is called Groggle. It sounds like a cute version of Gargoyles. And I love Gargoyles. :D
I used pen here, and it has a brush tip to create this shaky and uneven lines.

ReplyDeleteThe pop-out letter design is very creative, and your final alphabet lettering is effective in depicting a specific style. This is reflected in the title, 'Groggle'. I think that you should explain why you didn't like the design, and what could have been improved.
ReplyDeleteYeh I didn't like it because it's too structural to me, and I didn't like the way it looks.
